יעקב (תרל"ו - תרפ"ח 1876-1928) בנם בכורם של השר חיים אהרן ולירו (תר"ז - תרפ"ג 1847-1923) ראש העדה הספרדית בירושלים ושל שמחה לבית פאפו, נשא לאשה את מנוחה גולדברג מפתח תקוה. טקס החתונה נערך ערב חג סוכות תרס"ו (1906) במלון אמדורסקי בעיר העתיקה בלווית תזמורת נגנים.

במרכז הצילום לצידי החתן והכלה יושבים חיים אהרן ורעייתו השניה מרים. עומדים ראשון מימין דר’ יוסף משה ולירו לימים שופט בית המשפט המחוזי בירושלים והשופט היהודי במשפט ארלוזורוב.

The Valero Family
Ya’akov (1876-1928), the eldest son of the Honorable Haim Aharon Valero (1847-1923) and Simha (nee Papo), married Menuha Goldberg from Petah Tikva. The celebrations, held on the eve of Succoth 1906 in the Amdursky Hotel in the Old City, were accompanied by a live orchestra. Haim Aharon Valero was head of the Sephardic congregation in Jerusalem.

In the centre of the photograph, beside the bride and groom, are Haim Aharon Valero and his second wife Miriam. Standing first to the right is Dr. Yossef Moshe Valero, later appointed a Jerusalem County Court judge and the Jewish judge on the bench in the Arlozorov trail.
