Translation of the text on the sign:
Symbol of the Council for the Preservation of Heritage Sites in Israel
Symbol of the Jordan Valley Regional Council
The Palmach symbol

The Palmach grove
The grove was planted in the early 1930s by the PIKA company, which owned the land.
In the summer of 1941, Company A of the Palmach was founded, whose men came as volunteers from the Galilee and the valleys.
From here the Palmach men set out on journeys throughout the Galilee and here again. Talks and discussions were held here, some around the campfire, which shaped the Palmach road from its inception.
Yigal Alon, the first commander of Company A, a member of Kibbutz Ginosar and later the commander of the Palmach, used to host the annual spring conference here, attended by thousands of Arabs and Jews.
