Comments:
The statue is located in Parliament Square, and is one of the 12 statues surrounding the square.

Abraham Lincoln appears in the statue - the 16th president of the United States, known for the liberation of the slaves he led, served during the American Civil War and ensured the unification of the country after the war.
He was murdered a few days after the surrender of the southern forces.

The bronze statue is a copy of the statue in Lincoln Park in Chicago, and in other places. The statue was made by Augustus Saint-Gaudens and was placed in the square in 1920.
