בית קנר

יעקב ובתיה קנר התיישבו בראשון-לציון בשנת 1886 ובנו את ביתם זה בשנת 1900. המבנה ייחודי מבחינה ארכיטקטונית ונושא מאפייני בנייה קולוניאליים. בחזית הבית עוגני ברזל בצורת האותיות י.ק. - ראשי תיבות שמו של בעל הבית. יעקב קנר היה איכר ויו"ר ועד המושבה.
בני הזוג קנר הורישו את הבית למועצה המקומית. בין השנים 1940–1985 שימש הבית את מגן דוד אדום, ובחצרו שכנה תחנת מכבי-אש. לפני קום המדינה שימש הבית גם מפקדה של ארגון ההגנה והוטמן בו סְליק. במלחמת העצמאות (1948), בשל מצב הביטחון הרעוע בדרכים, פעל במרתף הבית בית-חולים שדה ובו חדר ניתוח. המבנה המוכרז לשימור נמצא כיום בשימוש עיריית ראשון-לציון.

Kanner House

Built in 1900 by Yakov and Batya Kanner, who settled in Rishon LeZion in 1886. Yakov was a farmer, and Settlement Committee Chairman. The structure is of an architecturally unique form, with colonial elements. Its facad is embedded with iron letters י.ק in Hebrew (Y.K) being the owner’s initials.
The Kanners left the home in their Will to the local council. From 1940 to 1985, it housed Magen David Adom (Red Star of David station), and its courtyard housed the local fire station. Prior to 1948 it additionally served as the Haganah Command Center and held a "slick," a hidden stash of weapons. Due to the harsh conditions on the roads during the War of Independence (1948) the home’s basement was turned into a field hospital. The house, now used by the municipalty, is a preservation heritage site.
