The Théâtre du Marais was a name given to several theaters in Paris. The theater in this place was founded in 1791 and existed until 1812. The plays of Pierre Beaumarchais, who is best known as the one who wrote the plays The Barber of Seville and The Marriage of Figaro, were performed there.
