Comments:
According to the Jewish religion, Cohens are forbidden to be exposed to the impurity of a dead body.
Since the Ben Hinnom Bridge passes over the Ben Hinnom Valley, where there is a system of burial caves dating back to the days of the First Temple. Although it is not at all certain that these are Jewish graves, and although the bridge is high above the valley, priests still warn against the impurity of a dead body.
