This is an American-made tank from the 1940’s, built as a land battleship with three weapon systems: a large-caliber main gun, a secondary high-velocity anti-tank gun and a machine gun. It entered U.S service and was supplied to Great Britain and the USSR as part of the Lend-Lease agreement. It participated in battles In the Eastern Front, North Africa and the Pacific. Models of this tank adjusted to American needs were named ’Lee’ and others adjusted to British needs were named ’Grant’.
