תקופה ראשונה
אנו באנו ארצה
בשנים 1930 עד 1936 הגיעו ארצה כ-20,000 עולים ללא רשיונות עליה,צעירים חדורי תקווה להגשמת החלום הציוני: "אנו באנו ארצה לבנות ולהבנות בה".

תקופה שנייה
מנוסת יהודים מאירופה
בשנת 1937 החלה תנועת המנוסה של יהודים מאירופה, מחפשים מקלט מאימת הרודף הנאצי: אנשים בודדים, משפחות עם ילדים וזקנים, נשים ותינוקות ואף קהילות שלמות, מנסים להימלט מאירופה בשנים 1937-1945. בתקופה זאת הגיעו ארצה 47 אוניות וספינות ובהם 34,000 מעפילים וזאת חרף איסור השלטונות הבריטיים והמצור שהטילו על חופי הארץ.

תקופה שלישית
בתום מלחמת העולם השנייה, חלק מניצולי השואה התקבצו ובאו לנמלים בארצות אירופה כדי להפליג משם ולהגיע לארץ מבטחים. אנשים ומנהיגים מתנועות הנוער הציוניות ששרדו את המלחמה עמדו בראש היזמה. עזרו להם החיילים הארצישראלים, שהתנדבו לשרת בצבא הבריטי בתקופת המלחמה. תנועה זאת, שכונתה "הבריחה", החלה באירופה והמשיכה, בספינות ההעפלה לחופי ארץ ישראל. בשנים 1945-1948 הגיעו ארצה 68 אוניות עם 70,000 ניצולי שואה.

עם כינונה של מדינת ישראל, נפתחו שעריה לעליה חופשית של מיליוני יהודים מכל התפוצות.

The six waves before you list all the Aliya Bet ships that reached this country during three periods.

First Period
During the years 1930-1936, 20,000 immigrants, young Zionists, came to Eretz Israel by land and by sea, inspired by the popular song: "we have come to this country to build and to be built in it".

Second Period
1937 saw the beginning of the flight from Europe of individuals, families and entire communities. During this period, 74 ships with 34,000 immigrants came to Eretz Israel.

Third Period
At the end of World War II, Holocaust survivors moved towards Europe’s shores at the initiative of the surviving Zionist Youth movements helped by volunteers sent from Eretz Israel and by Eretz Israeli soldiers in the British army. This was called the Bricha (the Escape). Between 1945 and 1948, 68 ships came to this country with more than 70,000 refugees on board.

With the establishment of the state of Israel, its gates were open wide and millions of Jews came to Israel from all over the world.
