עץ ממשפחת ההדסיים. מקור: מדינות האיים הקארבייים ומרכז אמריקה. הגיע לישראל בתחילת המאה ה-20, פריחה באביב. הפרי, צהוב בחוץ ואדום בפנים, עם גרעינים קטנים לבנים. העץ פורח באביב והפרי נקטף בספטמבר-נובמבר.

Red guava
Scientific name: Psidium
A tree from the Myrtaceae family. Source: Caribbean and Central American countries. Arrived in Israel in the early 20th century, flowering in spring. The fruit, yellow on the outside and red on the inside, with small white seeds. The tree blooms in spring and the fruit is picked in September-November.
