לפעמים... כשפוגשים חתול, עובר במקרה ברחוב,
אנחנו עוצרים לרגע, מסתכלים, ומרגישים, איך חיוך נולד לו בתוכנו,
ולפעמים... כשפוגשים שני חתולים,
החיוך הזה גדל, ואז העולם,
מחייך אלינו חיוך קטן בחזרה.

"שני חתולים יושבים על ספסל אחד.
יצאה שכנה, קראה לחתול אחד כסס... כסס...
קראה לחתול שני פסס... פסס...
הניחה קערת גבינה על המדרכה, בצד, ונכנס לביתה".
