"פלסטיין פוסט" נוסד תרצ"ב
לגרשון אגרון היו ארבע אהבות והוא אותן מימש:
אהבת ארץ ישראל וירושלים, העיתונות ומשפחתו.
ב-1918 התנדב לגדוד העברי האמריקאי ואיתו הגיע לארץ ישראל.
התיישב בירושלים ועסק בעיתונאות ובשליחות ציבורית.
בשנת 1932ייסד וערך את ה"פלסטיין פוסט" שהפך לג’רוסלם פוסט ב-1950. בשנת 1955 נבחר לראש העיר הרביעי של ירושלים. כיהן בתפקיד עד פטירתו.

Gershon Agron 1893-1959
"Palestine Post" founded 1932
Gershon Agron had four great loves, and achieved them all: Love for Eretz Israel and Jerusalem, journalism and his family.
In 1918 volunteered for the American-Jewish Battalion with which he came to Eretz Israel. Settled in Jerusalem, engaged in journalistic and public activities. In 1932 founded and edited the "Palestine Post", which in 1950 became the Jerusalem Post. In 1955, elected fourth mayor of Jerusalem, held post until his death.
