Translation of the text on the sign:
[The text in English is significantly shorter than the text in Hebrew, below is a translation of the Hebrew text]
The first house in the German colony was built in 1873 by Matthew the miller Frank. On the lintel are engraved the words "Eben Ezer", in the name of the Auxiliary Stone mentioned in the Book of Samuel "and called the name of it Eben-ezer, saying: ’Hitherto hath the LORD helped us" (1 Samuel 7: 12).
Adjacent to the house was a flour mill that operated on steam. Behind the house were the community’s sports facilities.
