Mansbach Clinic
Between 1946 - 2020, the first clinic in the city operated here. The clinic was designed and built by the health fund of the General Histadrut of the Hebrew Workers in the Land of Israel, and provided medical services to the residents of the city.
For many years, the health fund offices, specialist clinics and a pharmacy operated there. The clinic is named after Dr. Eliezer Mansbach (1902-1948), who was killed during the War of Independence by an Arab sniper, who was standing on Givat Tel A-Rish (today - the Philbox site). Mansbach, born in Germany, immigrated to Israel in 1933 and joined Kiryat Avoda, where he was one of the first settlers. He was Kiryat Avoda’s dentist and a gifted photographer. He photographed the sycamore tree, which was the symbol of the city.
