Born in Dresden, Germany (1933-2021), immigrated to Israel in 1935, painter and sculptor, winner of the Israel Prize for Sculpture (2004), the Dizengoff Prize (1985) and many other prizes. Tumarkin is considered one of the most important sculptures in Israel, and his sculptures are found in many sites. One of the best known works is the Holocaust and Revival Monument in Rabin Square (formerly Kings of Israel Square) in Tel Aviv , there is also a sculpture garden in Tel Aviv dedicated entirely to his works, Abu Nabot Park In Holon there is a sculpture garden where 20 of his works are found
