The Abraham Krinitzi House
This house belonged to Abraham Krinitzi, who was the head of the Yishuv (community) and Mayor of Ramat-Gan between the years 1926-1969. It was built in 1925 as one of Ir HaGanim’s first stone buildings.
To this day, the original driveway leading to the house is lined with Washingtonian palms, symbolizing the Second Aliyah. There were fruit trees and a fish pond in the large yard (around 15 dunams). Prime ministers, diplomats, presidents and army top brass visited the house.
In his will, Krinitzi bequeathed the house to the city as the "Abraham Krinitzi House." In 1988, the museum of the history of the city was established in his memory. In 2003, the archives of the history of the city were established
