בית המרקחת של הרוקח המדופלם יצחק איזידור ממלוק (Mamlock), הרוקח היהודי ההומאופתי הראשון בארץ, פעל בשרונה כ-20 שנה. ממלוק עלה לארץ מברלין בראשית המאה ה-20, במלחמת העולם הראשונה שירת כרוקח בצבא הגרמני ובשובו ארצה עבד בבית החולים הגרמני ביפו. ממלוק היה בקיא ברזי תורת הרפואה ההומאפטית. הוא אבחן חולים באמצעת התבוננות בעיניהם, בעור, בציפורניים ובלשון והכין תרופות מעשבי מרפא. בין תרופותיו הידועות היו חליטות הבבונג והנענע, ששימשו לריפוי מיחושי הקיבה, חליטת סרפד לטיפול בעור הקרקפת ועלי אקליפטוס מורתחים שהקלו על הנשימה. תושבי שרונה הכירה את הרוקח דובר הגרמנית והזמינו אותו לפתוח בית מרקחת במושבה. ועד המושבה בנה מבנה שיועד לבית המרקחת שנפתח בשנת 1925. בחזית בית המרקחת נטע ממלוק את שני דקלי הוושינגטוניה הניצבים כאן במלוא הדרם. במלחמת העולם השנייה המשיך ממלוק לטפל בטמפלרים העצורים בשרונה עד גירושם של רבים מבני המושבה לאוסטרליה וסגירת המחנה בשנת 1944.

The pharmacy of the certified pharmacist Isaac Isidor Mamlock, the first Jewish homeopathic pharmacist in Palestine, operated in Sarona for 20 years. Mamlock immigrated to Palestine from Berlin at the beginning of the 20th century. During World War I he served as a pharmacist in the German army and after his return to Palestine he worked in the German hospital in Jaffa. Mamlock was highly knowledgeable in homeopathic medicine. He diagnosed patients by looking at their eyes, skin, nails and tongue and prepared herbal remedies. Among his well-known medicines were chamomile and mint infusions, which were used to cure stomach ailments, as well as nettle for the scalp and boiled eucalyptus leaves to ease breathing difficulties. The residents of Sarona met the German-speaking pharmacist and invited him to open a pharmacy in Sarona. The colony committee built the pharmacy, which opened in 1925. At the front of the pharmacy, Mamlock planted two Washingtonia palm trees that stood here in all their glory. In World War II, Mamlock continued to care for the Templers who were detained in Sarona until the expulsion of most of the colony’s inhabitants to Australia and the camp’s closure in 1944.
