עץ ממשפחת האבניים. מקור העץ בדרום מזרח סין. עצי האפרסמון הראשונים הובאו לישראל בראשית המאה ה-20, אבל רק לאחר 1948 הוחל בגידול מסחרי שלו, בסתיו, בעונת השלכת, ניתן לראות את עלי העץ בשלל צבעים. העץ פורח באביב ואת פירותיו, הכתומים פחוסים, קוטפים בסוף הסתיו.

Oriental persimmon
Scientific name: Diospyros kaki
A tree from the Ebenaceae family. The origin of the tree in southeastern China. The first persimmon trees were brought to Israel in the early 20th century, but only after 1948 did their commercial cultivation begin, in the fall, in the fall season, the tree leaves can be seen in a variety of colors. The tree blooms in spring and its flattened fruits are orange, harvested in late autumn.
