כותרת המופיעה לראשונה ביוון הקלאסית במאה ה-5 לפסה"ס.
מאפיין אותה עיטור צמחי דמוי עלי אקנתוס (קוציץ).
היא הונחה בראש עמוד ונשאה את מערכת הקורות (אֶנְטַבְּלַטוּרָה) של התקרה והגג. בחזיתה, במקום פרח האקנתוס הנהוג בכותרות הקורינתיות, נראה בתבליט ראש איש/ה בעל/ת תלתלים.
על פי הסגנון יש לתארך את הכותרות למאות ה-2 וה-3 לסה"נ.

CORINTHIAN CAPITAL
THIS CAPITAL APPEARS FOR THE FIRST TIME IN CLASSICAL GREECE IN THE 5TH CENTURY BCE.
IT TYPICALLY FEATURES A DECORATION OF ACANTHUS LEAVES. PLACED ATOP A COLUMN, IT BORE THE CEILING AND ROOF BEAMS (ENTABLATURE). IN FRONT, INSTEAD OF THE USUAL ACANTHUS FLOWER, THE CURLY-HAIRED HEAD OF A MAN OR A WOMAN APPEARS. THIS CAPITAL CAN BE DATED BY ITS STYLE TO THE 2ND OR 3RD CENTURY CE.
