סמל רשות הטבע והגנים

הארמון הכנעני
לפניכם שרידי ארמון גדול ומרשים מן התקופה הכנענית התיכונה (המאה ה -17 לפסה"נ). עובי קירותיו והעמודים שבמרכזו מעידים על אולם מרכזי בעל ערך יוצא דופן, ייחודי ורב-עוצמה ששימש את עיר-המדינה אפק. האולם המרכזי היה מוקף חדרים קטנים יותר, שאחד מהם נראה מצד שמאל.

המלך שישב כאן שלט על מעיינות הירקון ועל מעבר אפק החשוב של הדרך הבינלאומית.

להמחשת מבנה האולם, שחזרה רשות הטבע והגנים חלקים מרצפתו המקורית של האולם המרכזי וקירותיו, והציבה שני עמודי עץ גבוהים המדמים את העמודים שתמכו בתקרה.

القصر الكنعاني
أمامكم بقايا قصر كبير ومثير من العصر الكنعاني المتوسط (القرن الـ۱۷ ق.م) . يدل سمك الجدران والأعمدة الموجودة في وسطه على وجود قاعة رئيسية ذات قيمة فريدة ، خاصة وقوية ، استخدمت في مدينة - دويلة أفيك . كانت القاعة الرئيسية محاطة بغرف أصغر حجما يمكننا رؤية إحداها على اليسار .
سيطر الملك الذي جلس هنا على ينابيع اليركون وعلى طريق أفيك الهام الذي شكل جزءا من الطريق الدولي .
لتوضيح مبنى القاعة ، أعادت سلطة الطبيعة والحدائق أجزاء من الأرضية الأصلية للقاعة الرئيسية وجدرانها ونصبت عمودین خشبيين طويلين يحاكيان الأعمدة التي كانت تحمل السقف .

Symbol of the Nature and Parks Authority

The Canaanite Palace
The remains you see here are of a large, impressive palace from the Middle Canaanite period (seventeenth century BCE). The thickness of the walls and the pillars in the center of the hall you see below attest that it was a main hall of extraordinary value, uniqueness and magnitude, which served the city-state of Afek. The hall was surrounded by smaller rooms, one of which can be seen at left.
The king who lived here controlled the Yarkon Springs and the important Afek passage on the international highway.
To illustrate the appearance of the main hail, the Israel Nature and Parks Authority has reconstructed parts of the original floor and walls, as well as two tall wooden pillars that resemble the originals that once supported the ceiling.
