The Lehi operated its radio station,
"Kol Hamachteret Ha’Ivrit"
- The Voice of the Hebrew Underground, from this building.
On 18.2.1946, British soldiers and members of the secret police (CID) stormed the station and detained the announcers,
Nathan Marfish and Geula Cohen,
as well as the technical crew.
The radio station was shut down.
