כרם עבדת
תעשיית גידול הגפנים ליין בעבדת הקדומה כללה אלפי דונמים של כרמים וחמש גיתות תעשייתיות. בכרם עבדת נטעה רשות הטבע והגנים בשיטות מסורתיות, צאצאים של הגפנים הקדומות אשר גודלו כאן בתקופה הביזנטית. זני המורשת המקומיים שניטעו בכרם הם סריקי ובאר - שני זנים ייחודיים לנגב. את הזנים זיהו חוקרים מאוניברסיטאות חיפה ותל-אביב במחקר ביו-ארכיאולוגי פורץ דרך על גלעיני גפן שהתגלו בחפירות הארכיאולוגיות בעבדת.

شملت زراعة العنب وانتاج النبيذ في عبدات القديمة آلاف الدونمات من مزارع الكروم وخمسة معاصر نبيذ صناعية في کرم ،عبدات غرست سلطة الطبيعة والحدائق أحفاد الكروم القديمة التي كانت تزرع هنا في العصر البيزنطي باستخدام الطرق التقليدية. الأصناف التراثية المحلية المزروعة في كرم العنب القديم هي سريقي وبار - صنفان خاصان بالنقب فقط. تم اكتشاف هذان الصنفان من العنب من قبل باحثين من جامعتي حيفا وتل أبيب في دراسة أثرية بيولوجية رائدة لبذور العنب المكتشفة في الحفريات الأثرية التي أجريت في عينات.

The Avdat Vineyard
The wine industry at ancient Avdat included thousands of dunams of vineyards and five industrial winepresses. In the Avdat vineyard, using traditional methods, the Israel Nature and Parks Authority planted descendants of the ancient grapevines raised here in the Byzantine period The local legacy cultivars that were planted in the vineyards are Syriki and Be’er, which are unique to the Negev heritage cultivars. They were identified by researchers from the University of Haifa and Tel Aviv University in groundbreaking bio-archaeological research on grape pips discovered in archaeological excavations at Avdat.
