Born in Krakow, Poland (1876-1945), immigrated to Israel in 1913. Before immigrating to Israel, he studied building engineering and architecture at the Darmstadt High School, Germany. He worked mainly in Jerusalem with his partner Eliezer Yellin whom he knew while studying in Germany. He also designed the "Eden" cinema in Tel Aviv and the water tower of Merhavia
