orn in Ukraine (1878-1935), immigrated to Israel in 1923. He studied architecture in Saint Petersburg, Russia, and later worked as an architect in Russia and Ukraine. He designed many houses in Tel Aviv, including public buildings such as Hadassah Hospital (Balfour Street), the first school in the city on Ehad Ha’am Street , Expansion of the Dizengoff House and more. He also participated in the planning of the Great Synagogue of Tel Aviv Hershkovitz was the second city engineer of the city of Tel Aviv.
