Born in Łódź, Poland (1883-1966), immigrated to Israel in 1920. Prior to his aliyah, he studied engineering in Kharkov, Ukraine. He designed houses in various places, including Tel Aviv (The first house he designed was the Levinson house in the city of Gedera, in 1920 ). In 1927 he moved to Ir Shalom (Ramat Hasharon), worked hard to plan it and was one of the founders of the Ramat Hasharon Council. His son is the architect Zeev Chudnovsky
