Mechalkei HaMayim
The "Water Distributors Brigade" of the Mishmar Ha’Am organization was formed to distribute water during the siege of Jerusalem during the War of Independence in 1948. In those days, every drop of water was as important as a breath of air. Not only did they distribute water, but also advised each and every family on how to use, recycle and ration water supplies.

The poster also contains tips for using water, for example: Dishwashing: Before rinsing, clean the pots and plates from the food scraps. Prepare two bowls, in one concentrated solution of soapy water and soda, in the other - clean water for final rinsing. Rinse the dishes once a day ... Use the final rinse water the next day (after filtering) to prepare a new solution of soap and soda. Use the used solution water to flush the toilet.
