בית פנחס אילון (ראש העיר השני)

בבית, הנקרא ’מעונות עובדים’, התגוררו פנחס ומניה אילון (צוקר), ראש העיר השני של חולון (1987-1953). בני הזוג היו בין ראשוני המתיישבים בקריית עבודה, בשנת 1937.
בימי כהונתו ארוכת השנים נקלטו בעיר עולים רבים, שהתגוררו תחילה במעברות. במזרח העיר התפתח אזור תעשייה גדול, והוקמו מבני ציבור רבים.
בין השנים 1985-1986 כיהן אילון כיו"ר המרכז לשלטון מקומי בישראל. על שמו נקרא בית הספר התיכון אילון, רחוב בעיר וקריית מגורים - קריית אילון (ח-300).

The sign shape is rectangular but its head is designed according to the silhouette of the old building of the Gymnasia Herzliya, which serves as a logo of the Council for the Preservation of Heritage Sites in Israel

Pinchas Eylon House

Pinchas and Mania Eylon (Zuker), the second mayor of Holon (1953-1987), lived in the house, called the ’Workers’ Dormitory’. The couple were among the first to settle in Kiryat Avoda, in 1937.
During his long term of office, many immigrants were absorbed into the city, who first lived in the Ma’abarot. A large industrial area developed in the east of the city, and many public buildings were erected.
Between the years 1985-1986, Eylon served as the chairman of the Center for Local Government in Israel. The Eylon High School, a street in the city and residential district - Kiryat Eylon (H-300) is named after him.
