WILBUSH HOUSE (WILBUSHEWICH)
The Wilbush House is the residence of Nahum Wilbush (1879-1971) and his wife, Shoshana Feinberg (sister of Avshalom). It was built in 1923 by Nahum Wilbush, one of the founders of the "Atid" Factory (which eventually became the "Shemen" Factory), and among the pioneers of Jewish industry and construction in the Land of Israel. He was a member of the Hadar Hacarmel Committee, one of the founders of the Water Authority in the neighborhood, and a strong promoter of the construction of the Technion.
The building is typical of the beginning of the establishment of Hadar Hacarmel, and is built in an eclectic style, combining the basics of local, European and Middle Eastern architecture.
